Specialties of Dr. Jillian Ramirez, ND
Physical Medicine & Chronic Pain
Living with chronic pain can affect nearly every aspect of daily life, from movement and sleep to energy and emotional well-being. Dr. Jillian Ramirez takes a whole-person approach to understanding pain, looking beyond the immediate symptoms to identify factors that may be contributing to a patient’s discomfort. She has particular experience working with headaches, migraines, fibromyalgia, hypermobile Ehlers–Danlos syndrome (hEDS), muscle tension, joint pain, and other complex or persistent pain conditions.
Treatment is personalized to each patient’s health history, lifestyle, physical abilities, and goals. Depending on individual needs, care may include manual therapy, therapeutic movement, exercise guidance, nutrition, stress management, botanical medicine, and appropriate pharmaceutical support. With advanced education in both naturopathic medicine and kinesiology, Dr. Ramirez helps patients better understand their bodies and develop practical strategies to improve function, build strength, and move with greater confidence.
Musculoskeletal & Injection Therapies
Musculoskeletal and injection therapies may provide additional support for patients experiencing persistent joint pain, muscular tension, nerve irritation, or injuries that have not fully responded to other forms of care. Dr. Ramirez has completed advanced training in upper- and lower-body musculoskeletal injections, ultrasound-guided peripheral joint injections, and pain management.
She is proficient in palpation-guided trigger-point injections, superficial perineural injection techniques, and ultrasound-guided injections of the knee and shoulder. These techniques allow her to target specific areas of discomfort while incorporating the treatment into a broader, individualized care plan.
Before recommending an injection therapy, Dr. Ramirez carefully considers each patient’s symptoms, medical history, previous treatments, and personal goals. Her approach may also include manual therapy, rehabilitative exercise, nutrition, and collaboration with other medical or rehabilitation professionals. Her goal is not simply to address pain temporarily, but to support improved movement, function, and quality of life over time.
Medical Weight Loss & Metabolic Health
Dr. Ramirez offers medically informed weight-loss care that recognizes there is no single approach that works for every person. Rather than focusing on weight alone, she considers the many factors that can influence metabolic health, including nutrition, movement, chronic pain, medications, stress, lifestyle, and underlying health concerns.
Her experience with GLP-1 medications includes individualized dosing and administration, side-effect management, and troubleshooting. When medication is appropriate, it is incorporated into a comprehensive plan designed around the patient’s needs, preferences, and long-term goals.
With more than a decade of experience in strength coaching, personal training, exercise testing, and individualized program design, Dr. Ramirez can also help patients find realistic ways to incorporate movement into their lives while accounting for injuries, pain, fitness level, and physical limitations. She works collaboratively and without judgment, helping patients develop practical nutrition and lifestyle strategies that feel sustainable—not restrictive—and supporting them as active participants in their care.
